• Saudi-U.S CEO Forum 2017

Overview

The inaugural annual Saudi–U.S. CEO Forum will be held under the patronage of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Sa‘ud. It will be convened in Riyadh on May 20th 2017 under the theme of “Partnership for Generations”.

This exclusive gathering will bring chief executive officers of major Saudi and US companies across a wide range of industries together with senior Saudi government officials. Discussions will focus on enhancing bilateral trade and investments, identifying potential enablers to closer economic ties and deeper business relationships, and exploring partnership and investment opportunities catalyzed by Saudi Arabia’s Vision 2030. As part of the CEO Forum, a variety of cultural and social events will be organized allowing attendees to explore the rich heritage and culture of Saudi Arabia .

    • H.E. Mr. Al Othman has more than 35 years of experience in O&G, Corporate Finance, Investment, and Business Development, where he served in executive positions including Senior VP of Finance and Senior VP of Engineering and Project Management at Aramco.
    • •H.E. served as the founding chairman of the Board for the Investment company for King Abdullah University of Science and Technology (KAUST) and Sadara Chemical company, in addition to number of executive positons in private and government orgnizations.

    • Mr. Al Nasser started his career with Saudi Aramco in 1982 as an engineer in the oil-production department and proceeded to work in drilling and reservoir management.
    • Mr. Al Nasser is on the Industry Advisory Council of the Society of Petroleum Engineers.

    • Mrs. Friedman joined Nasdaq in 1993, and has been a key member of Nasdaq’s management team for over a decade, serving on a variety of roles, including CFO.
    • •Prior to joining Nasdaq, Mrs. Friedman served as CFO and MD of The Carlyle Group from March 2011 to June 2014, and played a significant role in taking the company public in December 2012.
    • •Mrs.  Friedman has also been outspoken on the topic of women in leadership and is an avid supporter of mentoring and career opportunities for women in the financial services industry. She is also an advocate for financial literacy and education.
    • •Mrs.  Friedman earned an MBA. from Owen Graduate School of Management, Vanderbilt University, in Nashville, Tennessee. She holds a BA in political science from Williams College.

Alain Carrier was appointed Senior Managing Director, Head of International and a member of CPPIB’s Senior Management Team in June 2016. He was most recently Managing Director, Head of Europe for the CPPIB.

 

    • Mr. Carrier has been with CPPIB since 2008 and ‎has more than 23 years of financial industry experience, which includes senior roles at Goldman Sachs & Co. in their Investment Banking division in New York and London.

Darren Woods is the Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of ExxonMobil since Jan 1, 2017. He was elected President and Member of the company’s Board of Directors in 2016.
